       Inspiring fashion designer, Rachel Zoe,  reveals her Spring 2014 collection at the Studio at MBFW.  This collection consisted of many facets of lifestyle fashion, such as apparel for going on holidays, formal events and even casual wear.

              

      

    Rachel Zoe's designs were fitting for the modern day jet-setter.  Many ensembles included shorts, trousers, and comfortable dresses.

NY FASHION WEEK: JENNY PACKHAM SPRING 2014 COLLECTION MAKEUP LOOK WITH ALCONE AT HOME

                 As fashion designer, Jenny Packham, celebrates her 25th anniversary this year, she also exhibits her lovely Spring 2014 Collection at MBFW Studio.

I can best describe this years collection with these words:

  elegant, luxurious, cascading, and sparkling.

Her collection revealed long beautiful dresses, in which some reminded me of the 1800s.  The dresses had lots of movement and sophistication to them.  

These dresses seemed totally appropriate for resort, event and bridal party wear.

      Along with these enchanting dresses, Jenny Packham's models wore almost bare faces.  The makeup looked very minimal and natural.

NY FASHION WEEK: CONCEPT KOREA: BIG PARK SPRING 2014 COLLECTION MAKEUP LOOK WITH ALCONE AT HOME

         This year at the MBFW Stage, Concept Korea presented four designers:  Kaal Suktae, Choiboko, Beyond Closet and Big Park.  This was the 8th launching by Concept Korea at New York Fashion Week.  

        Park Youn Soo of Big Park is a talented designer.  His fashion designs stood out to me simply because they looked much more wearable yet fashion-forward.  His collection presented trendy A-line skirts with bold prints and black/white leather jackets.  

    The makeup for this collection appeared to be using only one color- Coral.  Models strutted the runway with coral eyes, coral cheeks and coral lips.  The eyebrows appeared soft and the cheeks were definitely contoured.

NY FASHION WEEK: TRACY REESE SPRING 2014 COLLECTION MAKEUP USING ALCONE AT HOME

          Reputable fashion designer, Tracy Reese launched another exceptional collection on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the Studio during MB Fashion Week.  Her collection made my jaw drop to the floor! The whole show in its entirety blew me away! The fun, upbeat music for starters, took me to a vacation state of mind.  It brought me to unwind and a mood of relaxation, as my head bobbed to the lively beat.   
          As the models began to walk the runway, the first detail I noticed were the black swirly tattoos, most of floral design. I thought it added an edgy and modern touch.  Moreover, the apparel reminded me of resort wear.  Her collection entailed mixed feminine prints and many textures.  The fabrics looked comfortable and moveable. Some ensembles were coordinated with gladiator sandals.  It was awe-inspiring!

      Tracy Reese presented her models with flirty winged eyeliner and inner corner highlight. To create a playful winged line use an angled eyeliner brush with Make Up For Ever Aqua Creamliner in Matte Black.  

  

    Generously highlight the inner corners of the eyes with Ben Nye Creme Neutralizing Crayon in the color Ultra Lite. 

  Conclude this look with a pink cheek color and glossy pink lip:)

NY FASHION WEEK: ACHIEVE KATYA LEONOVICH RUNWAY MAKEUP LOOK WITH ALCONE AT HOME

     


    On Saturday, September 7, 2013, European designer, Katya Leonovich launced her Spring 2014 Collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.  As with her previous collections, I thought this new release was entirely breathtaking! Her designs comprised of multi-colored/water colors, ruching, ruffles, and lavish soft pieces.  

     A part from the fashion designs, the models hairstyle was a distinctive touch.  Models wore their hair up with strands of bangs fallen over the sides and front of their faces. 

    While the fabrics had much to express, the makeup worn looked classical and modest.

NYFW SPRING 2014: RECREATE MARK AND ESTEL'S RUNWAY MAKEUP WITH ALCONE AT HOME

   


   On Friday, September 6, 2013, designers Mark and Estel, presented their 13th Collection at the Studio during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.  Their creations looked stunning and consisted with cascading, rocker integrated designs.

    

Mark and Estel's choice for the runway makeup look kept up with their rocker chic style!

  The models wore mostly nude or natural lip colors and their cheeks contoured with peachy earth tones.  But on the catwalk, it was all about the eyes!!

     

  Recreate this super winged, cat-eye look with Alcone at Home's smudge-proofed, Perfect Eyeliner Pen and add definition and contour to the eyes with black eyeshadow in #9.

   Of course voluminous false eyelashes were in play on the runway!
